Dreamscapes Series

Rich with a saturated color palette of jewel tones, the simple contours of the land seamlessly blend together creating a dream like state. Dreamscapes is a series of soft pastel paintings that have come from my own vivid dreams of landscapes in creamy vibrant colors. Unexpected and strong colors fill the skies which are gradually mixed with unusual color combinations into the soft foreground.

The minimal landscapes suggest a place to go or perhaps a place we are coming from. The boldly painted skies and landscapes are surreal and serene, allowing a place to rest the mind. The fence posts represent perceived barriers or limitations. It is through our own dreams that we resolve our own perceptions and conquer our mental boundaries.
